In addition to this, he is a composer and singer with several Grammy awards behind him, and a member of Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek. With his broad outlook, Thile transcends conventional genre boundaries, from J.S. Bach to his own distinctive compositions. As a soloist Thile has released several albums, including in collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer and Stuart Duncan.
