Sebastian Knauer (DE) plays Mozart and Nyman

Pianist Sebastian Knauer builds bridges between the 18th and 21st centuries.

The evening's concert combines the modern with the classical in an innovative and exciting concert programme that bridges the gap between the 18th and 21st centuries.

The star pianist Sebastian Knauer is back in the Black Diamond with another exciting new interpretation of one of the masters of classical music, this time Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. At tonight's concert, you can experience six new piano movements written by Michael Nyman especially for Sebastian Knauer, which are directly inspired by Mozart's piano sonatas.

Both Mozart and Nyman are great sources of inspiration for Knauer, and this concert is the realisation of a long-standing dream, which emphasises Knauer's penchant for mixing the classical with the modern. The transitions between Mozart and Nyman are fluid, and a special listening experience is created.
