Matinée concert: Wooden Elephant – Björk's Homogenic (3:3)

Wooden Elephant takes us back to 1997 with Björk's iconic album reimagined for five strings.

Programme

Björk: Homogenic (1997)

for extended string quintet, reimagined by Ian Anderson

The last matinée concert of the season offers a very special musical experience, where electronic and classical music are united. The string quintet Wooden Elephant specialises in turning iconic albums from popular music into live concerts for string players, and has, among other things, had Radiohead's seminal album Kid A and Beyonce's Lemonade under loving care. This afternoon you can experience the Icelandic artist Björk's third album Homogenic from 1997 in a completely new way - live and reimagined for five strings in the Diamond's beautiful Queen's Hall.
