Matinée concert with Kind of Cyan 2:3

Enjoy a concert before the evening's activities. This time Kind of Cyan will be joined by four percussionists to play Shostakovich's legendary 15th Symphony.

The trio brings a major symphonic work into the intimate concert hall, challenging the listener with a crisp and spectacular arrangement for chamber ensembles. Kind of Cyan take the stage this evening to plunge into Dimitri Shostakovich's legendary 15th Symphony, boldly and successfully - and with the approval of the composer himself - arranged by Viktor Derevianko for a piano trio and four percussionists.

Spring concerts: The classical canon reinterpreted

Kind of Cyan consists of violinist Cæcilie Balling, cellist Josefine Opsahl and pianist Cæcilie Tagmose. Within the constellations of trio, duo and solo, the musicians of Kind of Cyan have worked over the years with fusion and new interpretations of classical music through free, contrasting methods such as improvisation and electronic sound manipulation.

Programme

Dimitri Shostakovich: Symphony No. 15.
Arr. for piano trio and percussion by Viktor Derevianko

The event is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and Statens Kunstfond.
