Matinée concert: Ensemble Mutatis (2:3)

Ensemble Mutatis interprets Gustav Mahler's great orchestral music in new ways.

Programme

"Metamorphoses" - new interpretations of the music of Gustav Mahler (1860-1911)

Ensemble Mutatis is a classical chamber ensemble consisting of ten experienced musicians who, with both a string and wind quintet as their core, present classical chamber music in completely new ways. This evening it is one of the Austrian composer Gustav Mahler's monumental works that will receive loving treatment. With the "metamorphoses" project, they change and explore Mahler's enormous music - in the most literal sense. Because how do you transform music that was made for huge symphony orchestras so that it can appear in smaller but still fantastic formats? Ensemble Mutatis has the recipe for that, and we can guarantee that this evening will be great with Mahler's first symphony sounding in the hall.
