Lecture: "Surely Ølhunden is Danish?!"

ONLY FOR THE DIAMOND CLUB - Come to a sing-along lecture with senior researcher Henrik Smith-Sivertsen from Royal Danish Library's special collections department.

In the good old days, it was quite normal for the foreign hits to be translated into Danish when they reached the national border. Over time, many of these songs have become such an ingrained part of the cultural heritage that their foreign origins have been forgotten. Senior researcher Henrik Smith-Sivertsen from the library's special collections department will change that in this lecture.

In his time, he wrote a PhD thesis specifically on song translation and knows everything worth knowing - and more - about how the songs came to Denmark.

Along the way, he will, accompanied by the programme manager for music, Jesper Egelund, invite you to sing along.

Because if you really want to learn something, you have to sing it!
