International Authors' Stage: Stina Ekblad (SE/FI) in conversation with Ellen Hillingsø

Stina Ekblad is one of the biggest actors in the Nordics, with Denmark, Sweden and Finland as the stage. In February, you can experience her at the International Authors' Stage.

Stina Ekblad is current with the Danish translation of Her bruser strømmen forbi. In her memoir, she mixes her own story with a heartfelt defense of the serious and beautiful in life – it is an argument for poetry, music, language and life's need for beauty. In February, you can experience Ekblad in the Queen's Hall, when she is the main character on the International Authors' Stage.

The beautiful

With her writing, Stina Ekblad takes her own life path from her childhood in Finnish-Swedish to Denmark and her entry as an actress on stages and film screens all over Scandinavia. Ekblad reflects on the people she has met along the way and the theatre and film roles that have shaped her into the acclaimed actress she is today.

But Her bruser strømmen forbi contains much more than that. It argues passionately for the seriousness, the cleverness and the soulful in our world. And about how beauty is a fundamental need in everyone's life.

How her time as an actress fulfilled her dreams as well as her personal relationship with the aesthetic are just some of the things that the live interview will cover.
