Havana - Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra with Raydel Medina and Rune Harder Olesen
Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra with new work inspired by jazz's Afro-Cuban roots.
In Havana, the intensity and deep groove of the Afro-Cuban music tradition meet with the exuberance, the drama and the beautiful sounds of the large orchestra format.
Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra has invited the fantastic percussionist Raydel Medina and the Danish cuba master Rune Harder Olesen to a collaboration with new music by Lars Møller and Jesper Riis. Here you will experience rhythmic fire and elegance in the exciting encounter between jazz's Afro-Cuban roots and the band's creative soloists.
With Havana, the Copenhagen Jazz Orchestra continues their multi-year concert series in The Diamond with creative encounters with other musical cultures.
