Game jam for children
Create yourself as a game character in your very own game design.
Game jam
Get a very special insight into the creative process in game development at the Royal Danish Library's Game jam. We are going to be creative and design ourselves as game characters just like in the game Cosmic Top Secret. With the help of game developer and director Trine Laier and teacher of visual arts Mette Ussing, you will be introduced to the creative process and get help with the development of your own game design. Drop in when it suits you - it takes approximately 1 hour, but you are welcome to stay longer. The event is in Danish.
Cosmic Top Secret
Cosmic Top Secret is a game story about Trine Laier's parents, who might have been spies during the Cold War. In a collage-like world of cardboard and paper, Trine Laier's attempt to unravel her parents' mysterious past plays out.
Cosmic Top Secret was released in 2018 and has since won awards at several gaming and film festivals. The game will be shown in the exhibition #DKgame, and it will be possible to play Cosmic Top Secret yourself at the library's Game Jam.
The exhibition #DKgame
Explore the #DKgame exhibition and experience an imaginative world of Danish computer games through time and try playing computer games yourself from the 90s up to today. The library's collection contains more than 4,000 Danish-produced computer games, console games and app-based games, and in the exhibition #DKgame you can explore a selection of these.
Exhibition visits cost DKK 75 for adults and is free for children.
