The first feature of the summer programme is with the soloist singer Marie Mørck. Marie Mørck released her second album Songs to Comfort in March 2023, and the album was named jazz album of the week on P8 Jazz, due to her original voice and irresistible talent as a singer and songwriter. Marie was also nominated for a DMA Jazz in 2020 in the category 'Vocal Jazz Release of the Year' for her debut album Fooling Around, and with her new album she shows an even higher level of star quality. Also internationally... Marie was chosen to be part of an export promotion for Danish jazz at Europe's largest jazz fair in Germany in the spring of 2023.
This afternoon you can experience her together with three other solid names in Danish jazz, Magnus Hjorth on piano, Lasse Mørck on bass and Snorre Kirk on drums.
