Finissage in Lene Adler Petersen – Space and Things
Join us as we wrap up the exhibition in style! Have a glass of bubbles and experience, among other things, a work by Fluxus artist Henning Christiansen performed live by Jakob Bloch Jespersen.
Programme
Curator of Royal Danish Library Charlotte Præstegaard Schwartz welcomes and talks about the exhibition. After that, Jakob Bloch Jespersen will perform a performance piece by the Danish Fluxus artist Henning Christiansen, after which you are free to explore the exhibition.
On this occasion, the Black Diamond is also serving a glass of bubbles, so grab a friend and seize the opportunity to experience Lene Adler Petersen's works before it's too late. The exhibition closes on 11-05-2025.
It's almost the last chance to explore the photo exhibition Space and Things, and we're marking the end of the exhibition with a finissage! This afternoon, photo curator at Royal Danish Library Charlotte Præstegaard Schwartz will begin the event by welcoming and talking about the exhibition.
You can also experience musician Jakob Bloch Jespersen, who will perform a live musical performance piece by Fluxus artist Henning Christiansen (1932-2008). Henning Christiansen was an artist and composer who created visual art, actions and musical compositions from the 1960s until his death in 2008. Christiansen was part of the Fluxus movement, a worldwide network for experimental art.
Henning Christiansen had a lifelong collaboration and friendship with the visual artist Bjørn Nørgaard, Lene Adler Petersen's husband and artistic partner, and through this also worked closely with Lene Adler. Among other things, they were both co-founders of the international art platform and art gallery 44Møen, and both Henning Christiansen and Lene Adler Petersen were part of the controversial action Hesteofringen (the Horse Sacrifice) (1970), which Bjørn Nørgaard organised as a protest against the Vietnam War.
