The Faces of Music: Søren Schauser on Schumann
ONLY FOR SEASON TICKET HOLDERS – Learn more about Robert and Clara Schumann and their fantastic music when the Diamond Club is visited by author, philosopher and music historian Søren Schauser.
Many have expressed a wish for a return visit by Søren Schauser. Now he is here again, and this time he makes us more aware of the Schumann family and their contemporaries. The music of both Robert and Clara Schumann can be heard at the concert on 25 March 2025 with pianist Saleem Ashkar and the Henschel Quartet, and this hour is a fantastic prelude to this concert.
About The Faces of Music
A lot of work happens before we as the audience settle comfortably in the seats of the Queen's Hall to experience a piece of music. In any order: the musician must be trained, the music must be written and rehearsed, the instrument must be built, the programme printed, etc.
The Faces of Music go behind the music and invite composers, musicians, researchers and others to talk about their work.
