The Faces of Music: Meet Jens Elvekjær from Trio con Brio Copenhagen
ONLY FOR THE DIAMOND CLUB: Peek behind the curtain of music with the Faces of Music.
Trio con Brio Copenhagen has often played in the Queen's Hall, and the 23/24 season is no exception. Not only does the trio have two concerts during the season, it is also co-organiser of the joint initiative Music Festival Days in the Diamond – two days when the house is filled to the brim with classical music.
Jens Elvekær is in conversation with Jesper Egelund from the Royal Danish Library on the music festival days, and on what makes a concert a great experience - something which we would naturally like to hear the club members' opinion on!
The Faces of Music
An incredible amount of preparation and activity takes place before we as the audience settle comfortably into the chairs of the Queen's Hall to experience a piece of music. The musician must be trained, the music must be written and rehearsed, the instrument must be built, the programme printed, etc.
The Faces of Music lets you peek behind the curtain of music over two Wednesdays and invite e.g. composers, musicians and researchers to talk about their work before the music can be heard at a concert for the audience's pleasure.
