The Creative Library - Flower boxes

Create mini universes with flowers in the library's creative workshop for the whole family.

Bring your siblings, friends and adults for creative fun in the Black Diamond's workshop - The Creative Library. At the workshop you can make your own artwork together with visual artist Ann Louise Andersen. We have been in the library's archives and found beautiful and fascinating old books and pictures, which we are inspired by and work from. All workshops are drop-in events, and it takes approximately 1 hour to participate, but feel free to stay longer. So get your inner artist ready and come by.

This time we make our own mini universes with flowers. The library's collections are full of drawings and illustrations of beautiful flowers and we will take a closer look at them, so you can make your own box of paper flowers. First we fold the box. It is a very special box, which is made of the same strong material as the boxes the library uses for its archives. After folding, we will cut and build a universe of flowers inside a box. The box may look gray and boring on the outside, but when you lift the lid, it is filled with fine flowers in beautiful colours.

The event is for children aged 5-12 and their adults - and is of course free.
