Look forward to the story of Johan Helmich Roman, known as the father of Swedish music. Roman traveled to London in 1716 as a young violinist and composer and became part of the flourishing music scene, dominated by GF Handel and other European musicians. A journey that proved to not only change his own life, but also shaped Swedish music forever. The evening's concert presents both Roman's own compositions and music from his stay in London.
