Benedetti Elschenbroich Grynyuk Trio
World stars in piano trio visit the Black Diamond and play Schumann and Brahms' first trios, as well as Wolfgang Rihm's "Fremde Szenen III".
In the Italian home in a small Scottish town, Abba and the Bee Gees were reportedly blaring from the speakers. Nevertheless, Nicola Benedetti got her hands on the violin as a very young child.
Her prodigious talent sent her to Yehudi Menuhin's school south of London at the age of 10. There she met the Benedetti trio's German cellist Leonard Elschenbroich. The trio's final member is Ukrainian-born pianist Alexei Grynyuk.
The music is Schumann and Brahms' first trios as well as Wolfgang Rihm's Fremde Szenen III.
