Autumn holiday activities for children in The Black Diamond

During the autumn holidays, Royal Danish Library invites all curious children and their adults to experience the mystery of the library's fascinating buildings with its exciting activities.

Try the adventure tour The Great Diamond Hunt and find the Diamond of Wisdom, or take part in the creative workshop where you can make your own creative bookmarks from old books.

The Great Diamond Hunt

In a secret place in Royal Danish Library is the Diamond of Wisdom - a diamond that only the wise can find! The Diamond of Wisdom is the source of wisdom, and finding it requires courage, curiosity and cooperation.

All curious children and their adults can go in search of the Diamond of Wisdom in the library's treasure hunt, The Great Diamond Hunt.

With a compass, map, flashlight and adventure bag, The Big Diamond Hunt takes you around the library buildings. On the trip, you will experience the library's adventurous architecture, while you do fun tasks and challenging activities together. You can do such things as decipher the magic stones of the dragons, get wobbly knees on the glass bridge all the way up on the 5th floor, say hello to Grundtvig, find the wise elephants and experience the magic in the old, vaulted halls.

Make your own bookmark

Stop by our pop-up creative workshop and make your own creative bookmarks. Inspired by the library's work in recycling old discarded books, we use old book pages to make our bookmarks. We have also been to the bookbinder's workshop and have found old, beautiful materials for decorating the bookmarks.

Make bookmarks like these with your own ex libris.
