New Jungle Orchestra with Aviaja Lumholt and Rasmus Lyberth
Come and enjoy Winter jazz in The Black Diamond.
This evening offers a sparkling meeting where Pierre Dørge's New Jungle Orchestra fuses world jazz with two Greenlandic voices, both possessing a fantastic raw power, wildness and poetry – like the Arctic in sound; Rasmus Lyberth, the Greenlandic troubadour and shaman and Aviaja Lumholt, the unique Greenlandic/Danish singer, composer and dancer.
New Jungle Orchestra has previously played together with Rasmus Lyberth. Jazz Special wrote the following about the concert in Haveselskabets Have 2022:
“... Lyberth's great voice and irrepressible desire to sing is absolutely breathtaking. In the company of the New Jungle Orchestra, he was clearly in his element. ... When the concert ended with a heartfelt and strong emotional version of "Solen er så rød, Mor" I was completely sold."
