Register as a user at Royal Danish Library.
You must be registered as a user at Royal Danish Library in order to use our services.
Choose which type of library user you are.
University employee or student
If you are an employee or student at
- University of Copenhagen
- Aarhus University
- Roskilde University
- IT University of Copenhagen,
you must register as a user with your WAYF login.
Hospital employees
If you are employed by
- Copenhagen University Hospital you must register as a user with your WAYF login
- Aarhus University Hospital you must register as a user with your WAYF login (remember to access via Citrix).
Private users
If you are not affiliated with any of the listed universities or hospitals, you must register with your MitID.
Users without a civil registration (CPR) number
If you do not have a Danish CPR number, you can still order material for use at the Research Reading Room at The Black Diamond, Copenhagen or the reading room at Victor Albecks Vej, Aarhus.
Users exempt from Digital Post
If you are exempt from Digital Post, registration as a user takes place by appearing at Victor Albecks Vej 1 during the library's opening hours or at The Black Diamond at Kirkebybroen on weekdays between 11 am. - 3 pm.
Remember to bring documentation that you are exempt from Digital Post.
Theatre users
Professional theatres have the possibility of borrowing items on special terms. We ask you to read the regulations and fill out the application form.
Orchestra users
As an Orchestra user, you have the possibility of borrowing items on special terms. We ask you to read the regulations and fill out the application form.
Business, institutional borrower and government authority
Companies, research institutions and government authority have the possibility of borrowing items on special terms. We ask you to read the regulations and fill out the application form.
Employees at SMK / Statens Museum for Kunst
As an employee of the Statens Museum for Kunst, you have the opportunity to borrow materials on special terms.
