Chief Executive of Royal Danish Library
The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for Royal Danish Library as a professional knowledge and cultural institution with partners and users throughout the country.
Royal Danish Library's core tasks are digital and physical material management, library service, cultural dissemination and research.
The Chief Executive must ensure that the library's core tasks are carried out reliably, and that the library constantly develops new solutions and services and points the way to knowledge that makes a difference to society.
The Chief Executive's tasks, in collaboration with the rest of the management, include:
- to provide strategic direction and to develop and operate Royal Danish Library as a unified organisation across the library's various fields of work and geographical locations
- to contribute to the continued development of Royal Danish Library as a modern state institution in interaction with its surroundings and stakeholders
- to exercise visible leadership with a focus on professional and organisational development
- to ensure and expand close relationships with the Ministry of Culture's department and the library's other partners.
