Our organisation
Royal Danish Library is Denmark's national library and is an institution under the Ministry of Culture.
The chief executive is the library's head manager, and at a level below the library is organised in a number of deputy director areas, each focusing on its own overall area of the library's large task portfolio. Each deputy director's area is divided into several professionally specialised departments and sections. In January 2024, Nota Bibliotek also became part of Royal Danish Library.
The chief executive and the deputy directors constitute Royal Danish Library's management.
