Paginated from first music page as 8-17, being a part of a gathering of different manuscripts published as "Sange og Viser", opus 77. Above the first stave: "N 4 IV Bruden / Ballade 21 el. 22. At the bottom of p. 8 Hartmann has written: "NB Denne Sang kan heelt igjennem udføres af en enkelt Baryton eller dybere Sopran, uden Chor." At the end of the music on p. 17 end-dated: "13/4 80."
