Composition: 1882.

The tune was written for the memorial service in Vor Frelsers Kirke at Christianshavn in Copenhagen on 19 October 1882 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone. The text to the hymn was written for the inauguration in 1696, but the original tune is lost.

Instrumentation: Choir: S.soprano , A.alto , T.tenore (tenor) , B.basso (bass) cnt.cornetta (cornet) , tr.tromba (trumpet) , 2 trb.trombone
